Hire Purchase

You may purchase your truck or trailer quickly and with a minimal initial outlay by hiring at fixed monthly payments over an agreed period. When you make the final payment, the vehicle is yours to own. Best of all, you can match payments to suit your seasonal cashflow.
  • Choice of term (loan length) ranging from 12 to 60 months (one to five years)
  • A residual value (balloon) may be applied to the contract enabling the monthly repayments to be tailored to a budget (max. 30%)
  • Deposit (either cash or trade-in) may be applied to the loan
  • Depreciation and interest may be claimed as a tax deduction
  • A customer who is registered for GST can claim the GST contained in the Hire Purchase agreement as an input credit on their next Business Activity Statement (BAS)
  • Since 1 July, 2012 Hire Purchase agreements have been a fully taxable supply, with GST payable on all components of the supply, including interest.
